Qin Hao was told he was to "replace" Shi Hao and he was born for this reason, somehow it warped (who can blame him) his way of thinking, so he wanted to be better than his older brother who was "inferior" He was like a baby cultured in a laboratory as an experiment for supreme bones (note he is not cultured in a laboratory I am only using this as an example) and was allowed to see his parents from time to time.

He was taken from his parents because the Qin Clan realised that he was gifted and talented so they decided to raise him themselves.

Shi Hao's parents are pretty dumb since the Qin Clan said to have another child and transplant the supreme bone to Shi Hao (if Qin Hao had one). if you think about it, why would any parents do that to their second child when someone did it to their first child? Extracting the bones to another? Dumb parents

Shi Hao pretty much causes a lot of destruction to the Bulao Mountains and kills Qin Hao's master which made Qin Hao angry at Shi Hao

Before Shi Hao dies he decides to transfer his supreme bone to Qin Hao and asks him to take care of their parents, the ungrateful dog poop stain never said a word of thanks and didnt care much for his brother after he died, of course after the family left for the upper realms he was very close to the Qin Clan

But Shi hao revives after a year, and goes to the upper realm and causes havoc and panic like he did in the lower realm

Sadly we have 6 more episodes to go, so it wont cover a lot of the spoilers I mentioned. I just hope they will cover Shi Hao and Yue Chan's wedding

Not really compete against each other, more to do with the fact that the lower realm is a prison and all descendants are marked as a "sinner", so there is a self-righteous upper realm guy who thinks he is the best thing since slice bread who called them as "sinners", Shi Hao, Shi Yi and Qin Hao were just competing against each other to see who can beat that person

Much much later on the Qin Clan in the Upper realm deals with those undesirables to appease Shi Hao

-The Qin clan was always fawning over Qin Hao saying how he will be rank 1 on a momentum that ranks a person accordingly to their current and potential strength (kind of like a fortune teller) only to have Shi Hao rank number 1 using the name of Huang, and this becomes a source of embarrassment for the Qin Clan when they discover that it is actually Shi Hao
-Just like how Shi Hao is pretty much the number one fighter, in the upper realms he strives to be the number one and eventually he does, it is in the process of doing so that the Qin Clan tries to curry favours from him but he wants none of that
-Qin Hao will keep annoying you throughout the series, Shi Yi is a much much better person than him by far. Just think of Qin Hao as those villains that pops out arrogantly, self-entitled thinking they are untouchable only to be deflated by Shi Hao lol

This episode has slowed down in pacing but doesn't skimp on the "feel". That's why people say "less is more". Although there's not much action but I like the way they portrayed Shi Hao's feelings when he found out about his lil' brother’s existence. Those tears! His life is truly tragic! 😔

The brief acquaintance with the upper realm's trio was nicely done as well. Just like what Dase said, those people definitely recognise talent when they see one.

What makes SH so special is also his age. In the novel, his achievement was unprecedented when he not only cultivates 10 Heavenly Passages but joins them into one big connected ring at age 10, not to mention he becomes the Emperor of Shi (Stone) Kingdom at 15. No human nor beastly descendants in the past nor present had his cultivation level at his age. **In Perfect World, the archaic beasts and their descendants are viewed as the most powerful creatures and humans on the contrary are weak.

As for the lil' prick of a brother, well my opinion of him is the same as Dase's. I'm sure some of you may have read my earlier comments about him so I shall not elaborate here. I think Dase has explained it very nicely, for me I can only say: "time for the jackass to get ass-kicked"!

This is possibly one of the main reasons why I like PW’s storyline so much. If you ignore the fluffs, the recycling of plots and the hateful peanut galleries, SH’s trajectory of life is the most tragic and poignant among all the Chinese MCs I’ve ever read.

Just like you said, SH will be like “I want to get stronger to alter destiny and create a new perfect world for my family and friends..” while TS is like “I need to get stronger to protect my Xiao Wu..” 🤪 Don’t get me wrong, Tang San is one of my fav MCs of all time but compared to SH, his achievements are really a bit paltry. SH creates and relies only on himself while TS mostly imitates and inherits from others.

Totally, everything revolves around Xiao Wu, it is like before reincarnating Tang San never tasted the warm lips of a woman and once he reincarnates and have a chance, he does it differently to how he was in his past life.
